This 37 page softback book may be small but across is pages is a concise, informative and balanced introduction to the Pendle Witches Trials of 1692 in Lancashire, North England.
The Pendle Trials marked a terrible period in not just British but most western countries during the witch hunts of the 16th and 17th centuries. The book makes for a great introduction to the history and culture of the time and it is ideal for coursework. What’s more it’s cheap and the reprints are easy to find. Don’t pay extortionate amounts for this book!
