Why are some people drawn to witchcraft?
People are drawn to the unknown, mysterious and looking for answers to questions that other beliefs cannot answer. Many people are fascinated by the folklore and stories of witchcraft and wonder if the supernatural and the mysterious practice of witchcraft could be something that they feel helpfully, empowering and inspiring to live a more natural balanced life embracing nature and the wonders of the universe seen and unseen.
For most witches it is a lifelong journey of discovery, healing and enlightenment in tune with themselves and the energies around them. Life as a witch can be very rewarding but not without its challenges especially if friends and family don’t like it. Anyone wishing to become a witch also has to know that witchcraft is seldom like it is portrayed on tv and film. Moat witchcraft is mundane and Magick takes a lot of patience, wisdom and balance. Spells aren’t instant and won’t necessarily work as you would like. The universal consciousness knows what is right for you and will strive to ensure that you only have and do what is best and right in line with the universal law.

What are the Moon phases about?
The phases of the moon have a range of different symbolic properties and meanings in witchcraft and paganism. Essentially a new moon is for new beginnings, crescent for endings and letting go. Full Moon is for rituals and welcome the Moons sacred energy into you. The dark of the moon is for banishing and ridding yourself of spells, bad decisions . You should not do Magick in the dark of the Moon for anything other than this or do any psychic readings or you may anger the Morrigan.
How do I worship Hecate/Hekate?
Hecate is a deity of great power and can teach you a lot about life and change. To worship her just look up who is she is and what correspondences there are etc. she is dark sometimes and holds great power so always be respectful and open to her. She is here you but will only light your way to make good choices in life. So be open with her, talk to her like a Mother. Show her the same love and she will love you in return
How do I cleanse myself and my home?
Try cleansing your yourselves and your home. Light a large white candle and take it around every room while saying something “with this light I cleanse this space “. You could also do the same thing with a smudge like white sage or a small bell. Cleanse yourselves with a cleansing bath. Once this is done , brush out the bad energy through your from door and lay salt (preferably black salt) on your door threshold.
Is it possible to create spells in your mind?
Yes of course. Witches with experience and knowledge can create spells and even rituals within their own mind . The objects used sometimes become superfluous or distracting from what they are thinking. Remember, true Magick and witchcraft is from within
Should I use crystals for grounding?
Grounding is very important indeed before and after any ritual, spell or energy work. It serves to release unwanted or harmful energy from you . A good idea is to use black tourmaline or jet for this purpose but you can easily ground yourself by touching the earth With naked feet or finger tips.
Is black magic real? How do I learn it?
Many people practice black magic for a wide variety of purposes. If you want to learn the Craft then there are many good websites and books on the subject and our network is always open to helping. However be warned: black magic is very dangerous and powerful and it’s not something you should dabble with unless you know what you’re doing and prepared for any consequences.
Can I use spells to get love?
Using Magick to gain the love of another is only done with the following principles: it must not be against their will and you must accept any consequences as a result of the spell. Instead, use spells and potions to improve your love of yourself, your character and your confidence. This will attract a person to you naturally
What do I put on my altar?
What you put on an altar is totally up to you.its an expression of yourself and your devotion to your deities. Put on it what you feel is right. Things that you find for example like rocks, sea shells etc especially if they can represent your deities or the elements. You don’t need expensive altar stuff. Be creative. Recycle, look in your local woodland for things . The more personal you make the altar the more your connection to it. Your altars will change and grow in time.
How do spells and Magick work?
Spells and Magick work by using the universal consciousness and energy frequencies around us to alter what the Magick is directed towards. Everything is energy and frequency so Magick is the using of and manipulation of that energy and frequencies.
Why do people take part in and celebrate pagan festivals even though they don’t consider themselves pagan?
People are attracted to the idea of these festivals. All are fun and show a connection and community spirit that many people lack in their lives and see in pagan and witches communities. Also, people have latent , genetic memory that whispers to them that the festivals are true and a key part of the culture and traditions of their people
Can I use Magick to get rich?
You cannot use magic like that . It is not only immoral to seek to gain from witchcraft it is also unwise. Any spell has a certain cost to you and I don’t mean financial. The bigger the spell the more you will be expected to return. Failure to do so will mean you may lose something precious to you in return
Can I make my own Moon water?
Of course! Just leave an open clear bottle of fresh water out in the moonlight particularly on a full or new moon. Take the water inside and seal it with a top . Keep it away from bright sunlight. There you go, Moon water! You can use it for spells, potions and rituals
Do you I always need the required ingredients when creating a spell?
Of course. Not all Magick requires ingredients and some ingredients can easily be substituted if you have something that has a similar effect or corresponces. Remember: it is YOU and your will that generates the spell . Herbs, crystals etc only help , focus and amplify.
Are vampires real?
Vampires are mostly a work of fiction and superstition as are such as you describe. The reason for for the beliefs in vampires varies from culture to culture but some cases may have been the result of medical conditions. However the concept of vampirism can also be considered a psychological one: the vampire represents the animal nature of man and the blood can represent the menstrual blood and virginity. Also, there are some people who could be considered soul or energy vampires who feed of the emotions and energies from their victims
Is alchemyw also about spirituality?
Alchemy is actually more about ones spirituality and enlightenment than any physical works. Alchemy is the guide to how you can learn from the universe and your inner self to create an enlightened being which is the end result
What’s the difference between wishing for something and using magic to it ?
It’s all about your Will. That is the magickal intention and raised energy to achieve the goal. We all wish for things and but don’t always get it if the universe thinks you don’t need it or know what to do with it. Using witchcraft and spells may get what you want quickly but not without cost and a responsibility to use what you gain solely for good or this will surely backfire on you.
What makes a spell work?
There are many reasons why a spell doesn’t work: incorrect spell for a start. Other things alike your experience, Will, and focus can cause a spell to fail. When conducting any spell ask yourself the following things: 1) correct and proven spell 2) have you got the correct offering and magickal items and items required like herbs etc 3) is you Will and confidence good enough? 4) is the location, planetary influence correct 5) will you be deserved during your spell and if needed where can the spell be kell or taken? 6) are you protected against the energies you’ll be using and any reverses energy sent back to you and finally are you happy to accept the cost for this spell?
I don’t mean cost in money but on your own energy and life. Every spell requires energy to work from the universe,the spells, tools and most of all you.
Don’t call up energy that you have no control over or right to. Return all unused energy back to Earth and give thanks and offerings to your deity.
How can I see the face of a demon that is in my dreams?
You could try lucid dreaming, transcending through meditation to see them or imagine that you can talk to and control the demon in your dreams. In most cases dreams of demons has a psychological reason. Demons represent our dark thoughts and desires, they represent the Id and you cannot see the face because it would essentially confuse the conscious and unconscious mind.
Can I create my own spells and rituals?
Of course you can and indeed should make your own spells. How to do that requires studying the craft to understand how and what you need to do. Rituals are also something that you can develop yourself or within a coven . You can learn from existing rituals and adapt them to suit your needs and beliefs. There are many ways to achieve the same results. Study, practice and ask for help if you are unsure .
How can I use spells safely?
Always remember the key tasks that you must do to cast spells in safely: before performing any ritual or spell cleanse your Altar or the area around you. Do spells with a clear purpose and direction of the spell. Perform spells within a circle ( of salt, candles, using your energy to create a barrier) . Never do spells tired, agitated or in the spur of the moment. Always ensure that will be able to complete the spell without interruption or interference. After conducting the spell return unused energy back to ground and cleanse any tools used. One the spell is done follow the instructions on how , where and when it’s to be used and what should be done of it afterwards ( eg burn or bury). Never reuse a candle or cauldron for another spell. Thoroughly cleanse the cauldron and either the candle burn itself out or you can toss it into a fire , bury or keep it in a separate place from unused candles. Remember to show respect for any deity or magickal beings for their help and leave an offering as payment for spell.
How do you use astral projection?
Astral projection requires a lot of dedication, practice and patience. You should ensure attempts at travelling across the astral plane are done safely. It’s wiser not to do it alone in case you can’t find your way back or get tired. To astral travel you must study exactly what you are going to do and the risks involved. To achieve travel you should relax your mind and body to settle into complete almost trace state. When your mind tells you it is looking to wander then this is the gateway you seek. Go deeper and deeper into your mind as you become separated from your physical state. You can go anywhere you want. It’s quite like very lucid dreaming.
Do not spend too long on the astral plane and never go into the Abyss unless you truly understand it.
it is a good idea to leave an anchor close to you on the physical plane as you can use your connections to it as guide back into your body. This anchor can be a toy or a status anything really. Never tell anyone what it is though and keep it safe and regularly reconnect with it to maintain a strong psychic bond.
BE AWARE: astral travel is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who doesn’t follow understand the rules and principles.
What’s the difference between the athame and a wand?
A wand can be considered for different purposes than an athame. The athame essentially represents the male aspect, the god-head and the phallus when conducting rituals and spells. The wand also sometimes is used to represent the same but , especially in the case of goddess worship, has a different purpose that of an extension of your arm and hand and a means of either drawing or emitting energy.
Are there risks to an obsession spell?
Yes . Using such a spell is against the persons will which is wrong. The spell has the potential to backfire on you with the obsession either becoming a dangerous one or they may even end up obsessed by someone else because it bothers them that you are trying to force them to like or love you. If they don’t want to be with you, get over it!!
Does candle colour matter?
Candle colours represent the various correspondences of our deities and the elements which they are known for. Having said that, bear in mind that coloured candles are relatively new so this wasn’t always a practice. It’s all part of the ritual and beliefs of modern paganism and witchcraft. A plain white candle is just as good as white is after all the result of all the colours of the spectrum.
How can I restart or create a new path to my life?
You could work a couple of spells, one on the waning moon to release the old then another on a new moon to make new energy and change. Cleanse your mind and body and your altar if you have one too. Focus on what you want to restart. You could also try using tarot or motivational cards
